Over 90% of the global population are breathing air that is destroying their health

Launched on the eve of their first conference on air quality and health, a new report from the World Health Organization (WHO) exposed just how devasting the impacts of breathing polluted air are, especially for children. 93% of the world’s children under 15, a total of 1.8bn youngsters, are breathing air that is damaging their health and their development, and to which vehicle emissions is a significant contributor.

Road traffic injury and NCDs on agenda in high level meetings at WHO
